I love that book, and the movie as well.
I read it in 5th grade. Red October was my first introduction to Jack Ryan, and Tom Clancy. I've been hooked ever since.
It is very sad that he is no longer with us to share more wonderfully thrilling spy stories.

Every time I see one of those it just astounds me how large the sail is. It's like another boat all together.

It's easily double the size of the one on an Ohio class. Big enough for a good pool room.
